Become a Mentor
Do you have a story to share about your career journey to date? If you are working in the arts, entertainment (or beyond), you could mentor a current student or recent graduate. Our mentors provide first-hand insight about the rewards and challenges of the industry to individuals who are researching and investigating potential career paths. The Mentor Network offers various levels of involvement. Each mentor determines how much time they commit, and how they want to be involved with a mentee. Mentors have a high impact on our students and recent grads, but it is also a rewarding experience and opportunity to connect to the Tisch community. To learn more or register in our Mentor Network, please call us at 212.998.1916, or email tisch.career@nyu.edu.

- Mentoring can happen through email, in-person meetings, and over the phone – specific to each mentor’s preference

The NYU in L.A. Mentorship Program
The Tisch Offices of Career Development and Alumni Relations have collaborated to create this mentorship program to facilitate your transition to the West Coast. This mentorship program is designed for recent graduates and newly-arriving alumni (within three years of graduation) pursuing a career in the arts in Los Angeles. Participants (mentees) will be paired with an LA-based mentor, in a small group environment to begin their personal and professional transition to the West Coast. This is not an internship or job placement program. Mentees will be expected to work actively toward their specific and personal pursuits. Mentees will meet with their mentors and fellow mentees on a regular basis during the duration of the program. With the guidance of their mentors, mentees will have the opportunity to map out their goals regarding their transition to the West Coast.
Participation in this program is limited to one time per person.
The next session of the NYU in LA Mentor Program will begin in Fall 2013 for participants who have arrived in LA by September. Please click here for info regarding applications for the next submission period.
