Career Day is an exciting full-day event at which Tisch alumni and other industry professionals offer advice and insight to Tisch students and recent alumni. The day kicked off with a rousing welcome from our Dean, Mary Schmidt Campbell. Our keynote speaker for Career Day 2004 was Academy Award nominated writer Jim Taylor. An alumnus of Tisch’s Graduate Film Program, he is the co-writer of About Schmidt; Mr. Taylor has also co-written Jurassic Park III, Election and Citizen Ruth with writer/director Alexander Payne. Past keynote speakers have included Danny Glover, Gill Holland, Bill D’Elia and Tisch Alumni Spike Lee, Susan Cartsonis, Jack Rapke and Kenneth Lonergan.  Free lunch and an award-winning student film, Ryan Fleck's "Gowanus, Brooklyn," followed the career panels at the Todman Soundstage, 35 W 4th Street, 5th Floor.
