Songwriter Stephanie Salzman draws on her experiences writing with and for artists and producers such as Whitney Houston, 3LW, Tha’ Rayne, Troy Taylor, Kaygee etc. Ms. Salzman will begin her presentation with a discussion on the methods of songwriting for a particular artist. She will explain the importance of studying form, structure, language and production in order to capture a specific artist’s style, while also including your own voice in the process. Ms. Salzman will then touch upon the importance of collaborating with other writers and producers to ensure the balance of a song, before rounding out her presentation with specifics about the business world of publishers and record labels.
