NETWORKING & RELATIONSHIP BUILDING FOR ARTISTS

This interactive session teaches you basics of effective networking, and how creating meaningful professional relationships can positively impact your future. The ability to make genuine connections is vital to successful artists, and networking is about sharing information and listening to others. During the workshop, you’ll participate in an exercise designed to help them network in a way that feels natural.

cover letters that reflect your qualifications. We'll discuss
techniques for getting these documents to the right people, as well as
tips for follow-up communication. We will also reveal methods for

No appointment or RSVP necessary! Drop your resume in the Drop Box during these dates and a Career Counselor will review it and provide you with feedback quickly. You may drop a professional or arts/performance resume. This is an excellent opportunity to prepare your resume for the career fair! Drop boxes will be located at 721 Broadway, 8th floor.
**For students in Dance, Recorded Music, and Graduate Musical Theatre Writing, you will have drop boxes located in your department’s administrative office.**
HEADSHOTS FOR SUCCESS
TUESDAY, MARCH 25, 6:30-7:30PM
This workshop will be led by a professional casting director and a headshot photographer. They will share tips and information about headshots, and explain how effective headshots enhance your opportunities. Each will share pointers for creating an effective headshot and choosing a photographer.
CAREER FAIR WARM-UP
THURSDAY, MARCH 27, 6:00-7:00PM
This workshop will prepare individuals to work a job fair. There will be resume tips and tricks, dress and etiquette, and energy-boosting activities. Anyone considering coming to the career fair should attend.
TISCH CAREER FAIR 2008

The Tisch Career Fair is an exciting opportunity for students to meet employers in the entertainment, arts, and media industries. These employers are specifically interested in hiring qualified and well-trained Tisch graduates for both current and future employment opportunities. Students will meet and network with industry representatives to discuss job openings and their creative work.

Representatives from Fractured Atlas will answer questions and speak about the many opportunities available to member artists. Fractured Atlas provides services, resources, and support to liberate a nation of artists. From healthcare for individuals and fiscal sponsorship for budding non-profits, to marketing & publicity services and development grants, the organization supplies critical tools for independent artists and arts organizations.
ROUTE 66: GEARING UP FOR YOUR MOVE TO L.A.

Planning on starting your career in L.A. but have no idea where to begin? Join this panel discussion featuring alumni who will share advice, insight, and resources for making a move and starting a career in L.A. Learn about the Tisch resources and network on the West coast, and meet other graduating seniors who are planning a move.
