Shakespeare’s Measure for Measure centers on a Duke’s experiment to regulate morality and a young woman’s attempt to pardon her condemned brother. This dark comedy raises compelling issues—charity versus the rule of law, self-knowledge, the nature of power, and the influence of sex in a society. Measure for Measure has been cast and is currently in rehearsal.
