How do I obtain an official transcript?

Alumni who wish to obtain official NYU transcripts must contact the NYU Registrar’s Office directly. Call 212-998-4280 for more information.

How do I replace my diploma?

In the event your diploma is lost or damaged, the University will supply, upon proper deposition and the payment of a fee to cover the cost, a replacement diploma. Before issuing the replacement we require the return of the damaged diploma, or such portions of it as are available; or, in the case of loss or complete destruction, the submission of an affidavit, which must be notarized. Can I get/keep my NYU e-mail address?

NYU will forward all messages received through a special “alumni.nyu.edu” address—free of charge—to your own active e-mail account. Register online. Note that “nyu.edu” addresses are not guaranteed, unless you are a student or employee. If you do not currently have a “nyu.edu” address, unfortunately, one cannot be issued. Please do not use your "alumni.nyu.edu" forwarding address to subscribe to the listserv.top

How do I go about finding classmates?

Gather any information you have about your classmate (class year, college attended, degree received, married/maiden name, etc.) that might assist NYU in finding your friend. Then, call 212-998-6912 the University’s main alumni office to request an alumni locator search. A member of the staff will check to see if your classmate’s current address is in the university database. If an address is available, we will be happy to forward a personal letter to your classmate on your behalf. Because NYU is committed to safeguarding the confidentiality of information our alumni have shared with us, we do not give out any addresses or telephone numbers directly. Just compose your letter and seal it in a stamped envelope with your friend’s name and class year on the outside. How do I get an alumni card?

To make it easier for you to come back home, NYU alumni are now eligible for a 20% discount off all daily parking rates at all of Garage Management Company’s (GMC) 65 Manhattan locations. To participate in this benefit, you must establish a monthly billing account with GMC. Simply call 212-888-7400 ext. 7364 and request an application for your discount-parking card. Upon receipt of your application, a vehicle ID card and a map of GMC’s locations will be mailed to you. Simply present the card to the garage attendant and you will receive 20% off the standard rate.top
