NYU students have the facilities and services of a first rate, comprehensive health center right on the NYU campus. The NYU Health Center, located across the street from Tisch at 726 Broadway, offers primary health care as well as many specialties, including women's health, allergy, immunology and travel medicine, optometry, radiology, physical and occupational therapy, urgent care, sports medicine and many others. The Health Center includes a state of the art laboratory and pharmacy. If additional testing or procedures are needed, students may be referred to a physician at the NYU Medical Center or the NYU School of Medicine. In addition, the Health Center offers free workshops on a variety of issues including diet and nutrition, smoking, sexual health and drug and alcohol education. Counseling and Behavioral Health Services, also located at 726 Broadway, has a large and dedicated staff of professionals available to meet with students for individual counseling, group counseling, walk-in hours, referrals, workshops and emergency services. Two full-time counseling professionals, Rachel Terte and Melissa Wacks, are based at the Tisch School of the Arts on the 12th floor of 721 Broadway.
