New York University, together with the Tisch School of the Arts, coordinates a Parent's Day each year in the Fall semester for the parents and families of new undergraduate students. The day is designed to give parents and families of first-semester students an overview of NYU and Tisch, and to acquaint them with their son's or daughter's academic program.
This year, Parent's Day is Saturday, October 17, 2009, at the Skirball Center for the Performing Arts, 566 LaGuardia Place at Washington Square South. There is a continental breakfast reception at 9:30am followed by a program hosted by Dean Mary Schmidt Campbell at 10:00am. At approximately 11:15 there will be department-specific sessions led by the respective chairs and faculty.
